24 July 2025 The JERA Group and JR Chuo Line Community Design Are Building a New Model for Carbon-Free Power: The World’s First Real-World Deployment of “Point 24/7” Aims to Achieve 24/7 Carbon-Free Power at Head Office and Other Facilities

JERA Cross will lead the collaborative efforts between JERA and JR Chuo Line Community Design to launch a virtual power purchase agreement (PPA) for environmental value derived from solar power plants developed by JERA.

Specifically, the initiative will involve hourly matching of electricity usage and environmental value at the headquarters office of JR Chuo Line Community Design, the Chuo Line Beer Works (beer brewery), and the parking lot of Seiro Hachioji.

Additionally, at the headquarters office (a portion of a tenant building), JERA Cross will conduct a demonstration to achieve 24/7 carbon-free operations by combining its Point24/7 service. Note the implementation of Point24/7 as JERA Cross will be the first initiative of its kind in the world.
